The Number 10
2014 marks the 10th year I’ve been designing, the 10th year I’ve been running, and the 10th half-marathon in Tucson, Arizona I will be completing next month!
I had the opportunity last year to sit with a client, astrologist Catherine Baskett, and learn about my birth chart. The thing that hit a cord with me was that 2014 was going to start to “pick up” and be a time for “completion” or resolution. I’m going to be seeing significant changes in my career and relationships this year, but little did I know at the time how significant one number would make an impact as well.
According to Plato, “Numbers are the highest degree of knowledge. It is knowledge itself.” And Pythagoras believed that numbers had magical powers and souls. In Buddhism, the number 10 is one of the most important compilations as well as number 3 (my favorite number). How interesting it is that Capricorn is the 10th sign of the zodiac (I’m a Capricorn)! I have a lot to think about, but here’s to 10 more!
